Manifesto of Playing Big

If you’re like me, committed to Playing Big in your life, you know that some days are not as easy as others. For those days, I’ve written a set of commandments to give me something to hold on to when I’m tired and weary. They remind me to be bold and courageous and that even if it doesn’t seem like it right now, it’s so worth it to Play Big.

I’m sharing my Manifesto of Playing Big with you in the hopes that it may do the same for you. Print it it out and hang it next to your desk, on the fridge, on the bathroom mirror or on all three places.

May it remind you to be bold and audacious and to Play Big, no matter what.

Update: I loved Christie’s suggestion in the comments so much, I added it.

What would you put on your own Manifesto of Playing Big?

  1. Awesome manifesto! I would definitely put numbers 2, 8 and 12 on mine, although they’re all good.

  2. I love this manifesto. Bravo for putting it together. I particularly resonate with number 2 because I totally shy away from discomfort but want to grow more than anything.

    • Thank you, Angela. Stepping out of my comfort zone can feel so uncomfortable, but that is where exponential growth occurs. Still, knowing that doesn’t really make it more comfortable, does it?

  3. Loes,

I love number 14. Daring to vulnerable has been a big part of my growth this year.
    Love the manifesto!

  4. I love it Loes! It’s hanging on my fridge! Sending you lots of love all the way from Germany XXX

  5. My favorites are #5, #8, and #9. I would also add, you play big by doing the work.

  6. I’ve been making a point of showing up everyday. It’s so easy to sit back and say tomorrow, next thing you know the week is gone. Love this idea and will be doing it myself. :)

    • Jessica, time flies whether you’re having fun or not :) If you’d care to share your own manifesto when you have made it, I’d love to read it!

  7. I love #14 because as you grow, your vulnerabilities change! What used to see scary doesn’t anymore, but i find that I uncover NEW vulnerabilities, like recently, I realized I was shying away from live person contact with my networking! This is a great list to energize you every morning!

    • Thank you, Mindy, and thank you for sharing your insight about your vulnerability. And it’s the first thing I read in the morning :)

  8. This is fantastic! I’m going to print it, AND share it! I would add, sometimes, to play big, you have to close your eyes, trust, and JUMP!

  9. What a great idea Loes! I think I’m going to put together some inspirational words on my vision board this weekend to help me remember to play big. I loved every single one on your list. They all resonate deeply.
    Thanks for this!

  10. Beautiful message Loes!

These ALL resonate with me – and I would add this one – my personal and life’s mantra.

Choose Love Now – remember that it’s all a choice between love and fear made in each and every moment.
